Stephanie began her dance training at what
is now Lancaster School of Ballet in Lancaster, PA. There she
studied the Cecchetti Method of ballet, modern, jazz, and tap.
Stephanie then attended the University of Hartford/School of the
Hartford Ballet BFA program, where she had many opportunities to
perform, and the chance to work with the Hartford Ballet. After
graduating with a BFA in Dance Pedagogy, she returned to
Lancaster where she taught for Lancaster School of Ballet and
worked with Ballet Theater of Lancaster. Stephanie also began
studying ballroom dancing. She continued her ballroom training
after she moved to Connecticut to teach at the School of Dance
Connecticut. Along with teaching ballet to ages 3-15 Stephanie
was also the children’s rehearsal coordinator for Adam Miller’s
production of The Nutcracker. In 2002,she moved to
Philadelphia, where as well as beginning to teach Ballroom and
Latin, Stephanie started and directed a ballet program at the
ballroom studio. After a short stint competing in International
Latin she began competing professionally in Hustle. Stephanie
has won numerous Hustle competitions including IHSC, Disco
America, MadJam, and World Hustle Championships, and was
undefeated in Just Hustles in 2009. Stephanie has also recently
begun competing in West Coast Swing and has had been working her
way up the ranks along the way winning the 2010 AANCE Jack &
Jill Championships. Along with competing, Stephanie has also
been lucky enough to perform at many events and had the
wonderful opportunity to work with Arte Phillips on many
occasions, often serving as Dance Captain for many of his
shows. She has performed at dinner shows at many events
including IHSC, Disco America, New Year’s Dance Extravaganza,
and Grand Pacific Dance Championships. Along with teaching in
the greater Philadelphia are, Stephanie continues to teach and
perform around the country. She is proud to share her
versatility, personal style, and knowledge with anyone who is
willing to learn!!
